Online entries are back
Online entries have been reinstated by popular demand
Before you start, please ensure you have the following to hand:
> All of your details
> A file containing the details of all dogs that will be entered – this can be word, excel, pdf, jpg, png etc.
> Access to the bank account from which you are intending to pay your entry fee
Once the entry form has been submitted, you will receive confirmation to the email address you’ve submitted in the form. If you don’t, please check your junk folder and add OUR email address to your safe senders list. This email will also contain the bank details that you need to make payment to.
You can find the relevant form by going to the Calendar page and clicking on the link for each race.
Don’t forget to pay!
Your entry isn’t valid until BSHRA has received total payment for your entry(ies).
Why have we done it this way?
Very simple really, every booking gateway and every payment gateway charges a percentage fee. Either ‘you’ can pay that or ‘BSHRA’ can pay that – neither is particularly acceptable in our eyes.
A few people asked last year if they could BACs the money straight into a BSHRA bank account when they sent their entries. Hey presto, it seemed to work. Even better, it was free AND people didn’t have to worry about when the race organiser was going to cash their cheque.
Entry forms are set to ‘expire’…
Once the entry closing date for the race has passed, the entry forms will automatically disappear so PLEASE don’t try to use this method to put in a late entry – get yourselves organised and give the race organiser some time to prepare properly for the race.
We’re trialling this method of race entry. It may not be perfect this year and we’ll look at further upgrades next summer. In the meantime, please bear with us for this season and let us know of any useful features/updates towards the end of the year.
